Ares (in Roman mythology, Mars) - god of war, protector of the Trojans in the Trojan War. Son of Zeus and Hera. Here's a little story about Ares (unless of course you are interested in Greek or Roman mythology):
Ares, god of war, bloody and violent, had made love the beautiful Aphrodite, but he does not like none of the gods, including his father, Zeus. Not always lucky unapologetic Ares Affaires, on the contrary ...
Two giant, from Efialt and decided to climb the Olympus of Zeus and drive from there. They possessed superhuman strength, and Zeus would prefer to avoid collision with them. But they agreed to a ceasefire only if that will take away with them hostages Hera and Artemis. Anger against such arrogance, Zeus sent against them, Ares, confident that he will overcome them. As time passed, and the heir to all the militant did not return. It seemed he had disappeared together with their enemies, the giants. His chance discovery of Hermes (Mercury), which due to its winged sandals constantly traveled around the world. One night he slept in a barn on a pile of straw, not realizing that he climbed into one of the secret hiding places and Ota Efialta. He was awakened by the noise that came from a large bronze jar, hidden under the straw. Hermes calmly walked up to him and noticed that the pot is covered with a large heavy lid.
He banged on it, and someone told him the inside. It was Ares, whose Giants have closed there and he could not escape. By combining their efforts, the gods were able to open this unusual prison, and Ares finally got there, dirty and miserable.
They say that Zeus is no longer appealed to the god of war, to win Ota and Efialta. About this he asked Artemis (Diana, goddess of hunting). The goddess turned into a doe and appeared before the two giants who walked through the woods with bows in their hands. Both wanted to kill beautiful animals, and they fired at him a bunch of arrows. Jumping in all directions, the goddess was able to elude them and make sure that both the hunter shot at each other and died.
