THOR 2 (by Mauricio Herrera)

THOR 2 (by Mauricio Herrera)

Thor - in Norse mythology, the god of thunder storms and fertility. He was one of the sons of the supreme god Odin and the goddess of the earth or Erd Fergyun. Title Warmaul god Mellnir could once does the word "lightning". It must be noted that Thor, the worst enemy of the giants had with them a lot in common.

Red-bearded hero was very energetic and had an incredible appetite - eat in one sitting bull. Thor liked to be compared with all the force. His enormous bronze chariot was dragged through the sky two goats, which are called Tangniostr (grinding teeth) and Tangrisnir (creaking teeth "). In a magical outfit consisted of Thor: Hammer (Battle Axe zipper), iron gloves, without which it could not hold the handle red-hot gun and belt, doubling effect. Hammer Mellnir, forged for the god-brothers dwarfs (tsvergami), the symbol of the creative and destructive forces, the source of fertility and luck, had a massive bullet, a short handle and always missed the mark. On a hot hammer and belt force Thor was invincible. True, he was unable to prevent Ragnarok, the day of universal destruction, but was able to rid the world of snake Ermunganda. The Torah constantly accompanied the fire god Loki, who usually kept his belt gromovnika. Together they have experienced many adventures, and Thor could not deny that in some cases, resourcefulness and dexterity of Loki was forced to be wary of giants.

An example of this - the story of the magic hammer of Thor, stolen a giant mirror. The new owner as a ransom asked for a hammer no less - hand fertility goddess Freya. Loki persuaded Thor to dress in a gown of Freya and instead go to the hold. Despite the ravenous appetite "bride" that surprised the groom's "handmaid" (it was Loki) introduced the "bride" sample maiden modesty. Delighted Hold the Torah handed hammer, and the one beating up a giant, has restored his reputation slightly tarnished fact dressing as a woman.Another adventure of the Torah giants in the country is also associated with Loki. In the land of men, Midgard, Thor hired servants, and Tyalvi Reskvu, brother and sister. It happened this way. Since Thor trestles were the source of inexhaustible food for the night gromovnik killed and roasted them, leaving intact only the bones, and then returned the animals to life. During lunch, a peasant's house son of the owner, Tyalvi, disobeyed God and getting to the bone marrow, razgryz one of the bones. The next morning the magic hammer of Thor returned the goats to the life and noticed that one of them lame. So, as a ransom, and Tyalvi Reskva forever become his servants. Before reaching Etunheyma, Thor, Loki, and Tyalvi Reskva spent the night in a huge empty house. In the morning, they realized that the house was a big giant finger mitts on behalf Skryumir ("huge"). By hammer blows to the head sleeping giant waved, as if fallen dry leaf. When they reached the walls of Utgarde, the travelers were amazed magnitude of the fortress. Its inhabitants, giants, have arranged several events in which Loki, Thor and Tyalvi failed to win. First, the god of fire who lost the match quickly eats, then Tyalvi far behind in running races, Thor was unable to drain the horn, filled with drunken moisture pick up the cat and even managed to overcome the Alley, "an old, old woman." Leaving Utgard, Thor conceded defeat, but the leader of the Giants told him that all this is - magic. It turned out that Loki competed with fire Tyalvi - with his own thoughts, and Thor tried to drink the ocean, pick up in the air of the world serpent Ermunganda and overcome old age. Then Utgard suddenly disappeared. Only then Thor realized that Skryumir and Utgard were illusions, magic, resorted to by the giants terrified.

Hammer of Thor, Mellnir, served as protection from the gods and the giants had many magical properties: influence on fertility and death, could return to the life of the animals, bless marriages. All myths involving the Torah indicates unlimited destructive capabilities of his hammer, like the Hindu god of thunder and lightning, Indra, Thor was the destroyer of evil, and in Norse mythology, world evil personified the Giants-etuny. On the day of Ragnarok Thor took the death of the offspring of Loki, a serpent Ermunganda. Gromovnik blew ugly head monster, and he went away from it all in nine steps, was drowned in a stream of venom spewing from the gaping jaws of a dead creature.
